Caring for Sick and Homeless at Parisutha

Parisutha Illam is a home for the homeless. There are ~220 women and men who have don’t have a home and are suffering from psychiatric ailments. This is managed by three sisters/nuns who look after the home like their very own. The people in the home lead a good quality of life. They have undergone a complete change from when they were often found in streets and have moved to very hygienic and caring environment. They still have to take medicines. Some people have recovered well and undertake services in the home. Mother Teresa has inspired a generation and we were truly humbled by the sublime work being undertaken. The home needs the following from Sponsors a) A days meals for all inmates b) Monthly Medicines costs Rs.70,000 c) In kind like Rice, Cleaning Materials.
