Urna Bose does a splendid Job in bringing SMILES to children with Special Needs

Story of Urna Bose in her own words "I Urna Bose a co-founder of HANSHI KHUSHI –NGO (working with intellectually challenged individuals) have been working in this field for the last 20 years. I started working for a leading NGO in south Kolkata and learned my skills as a special educator. But I was totally moved when I found that after reaching the age of 18 years when they graduated from school, they became immensely sad and cranky. It was at this juncture I decided to run a NGO where they could come as long as they pleased. It would be a centre where they can come and be happy and in turn spread happiness all around. Thus Hanshi Khushi came into being in August 2006 with two adult individuals who were severely challenged. A friend and colleague came and joined me in this venture. Today we are serving 35 such individuals and have been able to bring smiles on their faces, but we still have a long way to go many dreams to be realized. All this can be achieved once you lend a helping hand" Hanshi Khushi has a very noble vision in 'making children with special needs as self reliant possible' and we salute their great work.

Umang undertakes distribution of stationary to deserving children as they are back to school

Umang is one of the NGO(s) we support. they undertake the amazing feat of distributing stationary to 12000 to 20000 in a single day. Talking to Umang, the founder, he says, it has been smooth but not without glitches. It is amazing how they handle this on a single day. One of the challenges they have this year is their suppliers delivered the stationary only on the day of distribution- quite a challenge when the beneficiaries are in thousands. Upcoming events are in Pali on 1st July and Shahpur on all Saturdays of Aug targeted at 20,000 children. Keep Going Ashish, Umang and team.,

Why I Like Sublime Causes Network?

I have always wondered if there's an organized way for volunteers and charity organizations to connect. Being a volunteer for educational and social causes for over 5 years, I am able to perceive that Sublime Causes has all the answers. This is just a beginning and this network has a lot of potential to reach the masses because there is ONE THING very unique -- Enabling transparency in charitable giving! Who could have ever thought about it? Is it not obvious that many good people want to sponsor? but they would also want to be satisfied to know that their spending is indeed beneficial. Time is changing! With digital development, transparency is expected in everything -- even charity. It's good. #SublimeCauses #ThoughtoftheDay

The Days When bunked College to Do something Good

Third and fourth year of my college life was quite boring. Most of our classes are either unattended by professors or nothing interesting. I wanted to spend my time rather productively, so I started fleeing to this school nearby my college during afternoons for training them computer operations and life skills. I also had to make sure that my attendance was marginal. It was an unforgettable experience and I was happy that I got to do something I liked.

This Teen is an Inspiration for All!

I was surprised to know that this Teen from Mumbai named "Arav" has raised 7.8 Lakhs in just 3 months for Cancer Research. When teens like him are busy attending coaching classes for board exams, he is busy doing things that are noble beyond his age. He is certainly my inspiration :) I'm very glad to share about this on Sublime Causes network. #StoryWorthSharing
